– Chateau Montebello, Quebec –
When Becca contacted me a couple of years ago to ask me to photograph her wedding I was thrilled! We went to high school together and it was so great to be in touch with her again and find out all the wonderful things she has been up to over the years including meeting Ian! These two are so perfect together and I had so much fun getting to know them as a couple.
Becca and Ian were married earlier this year at Chateau Montebello and it was a snowy, winter wonderland for their big day. The scenery was incredible with snow covered trees, ski trails, and a skating rink. There were many details including the Newfoundland mittens displayed to highlight Becca’s Newfoundland family. The ceremony was emotional with laughter, tears, live music, and then it began to snow! The bridal party then went for a twilight sleigh ride before heading back for the reception.
The evening was filled heartfelt speeches, a live band, and a flash mob! All of the bridesmaids started dancing down the floor to an acoustic rendition of “I would walk 500 miles” and it was so beautiful to watch. Eventually everyone is the room joined in as Becca and Ian looked on in amazement. The rest of the evening consisted of music and dancing till 3am. It was a party!
Thank-you to Vinh Tieu for joining me for the day, and to Becca and Ian for inviting me to be a part of all the fun!
Becca and Ian’s wedding is featured in Wedding Bells Magazine on newstands this December!
