– Lytton, BC –
Kumsheen Rafting Resort is an incredible place to host your destination wedding! I had the pleasure of visiting Lytton twice last year. First for Elice and Andrew’s engagement session, and then again for their wedding in October. I love this little town and everything it has to offer. Kumsheen is a family run resort and you feel like family when you spend time there. We arrived the evening before the wedding and enjoyed exploring the town and meeting some of the family and wedding guests. The wedding day began with a river rafting excursion. Andrew and his crew ventured down the Thompson River while we followed them along the highway. It was such a fun way to start the day!
The ceremony took place at Andrew’s family home overlooking the mountains. It was stunning! The wedding guests were then treated to a champagne toast before heading down to the resort for cocktail hour. It was a golden evening of croquet, delicious food, and live music by the Northcountry Gentlemen. They were awesome!
Dinner was served in the wedding tent which is a new feature for the resort. The decor was gorgeous and I loved all the details featured throughout such as the locally grown flowers, wood centerpieces, cozy blankets, and a raft full of beer!
Kumsheen also offers a variety of accommodations which include teepees, canvas cabins, or RV and tent sites. Guests wake up to a delicious home cooked breakfast that consists of all the best breakfast foods you could possibly desire!
It was such an adventurous weekend in Lytton. Thank-you Scott for coming along for the adventure, and thank-you to Elice and Andrew and your wonderful families for making us feel so welcome! We loved every second! xo
